Newark residents deserve to know how decisions are made, how public funds are spent, and how city programs are serving the community. I will advocate for clear oversight of city departments, responsible budgeting, and open communication with residents. I will support regular reviews of city programs and services to ensure they are effective, accessible, and meeting the needs of the people they are intended to serve. By strengthening transparency and oversight, we can build greater trust and ensure that Newark's government works for the people it represents. 

Every Newark resident deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood. With the recent certification of a new class of police officers, I will work with the council to ensure officers are strategically deployed where they are most needed - not for political reasons, but based on community safety needs. Families should feel safe walking their streets, supporting local businesses, and raising their children in Newark. 

Newark students deserve access to the same opportunities available anywhere else. I will work with city leadership and the school board to strengthen educational standards and expand access to arts programs and specialized training. I will also partner with institutions like Rutgers University to support Newark's top-performing students and help open pathways to higher education right here in our city. 

Local businesses are the backbone of Newark's economy. I will support programs that promote and strengthen local entrepreneurs while encouraging residents to shop locally. Strengthening small businesses means strengthening Newark's economic future. 

Newark residents should benefit from the economic activity happening in our city. I will work with major employers such as Prudential Financial, Public Service Enterprise Group, and NJ Transit to promote fair hiring practices and ensure Newark residents have access to quality job opportunities. 

Investing in our youth means investing in Newark's future. I will support programs that keep young people involved in positive activities such as sports, arts, and mentorship opportunities, guiding them toward productive and successful futures. 

Our seniors built the Newark we know today. I will conduct a full review of senior services to ensure programs are accessible, effective, and enriching. We must create opportunities that keep seniors active, engaged, and connected to the city they have called home for decades.
